Swarms of solitary bees

Last week at Cape May Point, several stretches of trail were swarming with ground-nesting solitary bees!  I think they are Ptilothrix bombiformisknown as hibiscus bees.  Fording the swarm was not for the faint-of-heart,  but they were completely uninterested in trailgoers.   See a video of the action:
